Thought I'd share a little about me & why I'm writing this blog.
In 1998, after being bedridden with severe pain, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. It took over 6 months to get diagnosed & another 6 months before I was able to get it under control. Since then, I have had lots of ups & downs living with Fibromyalgia.
Back in 1999, I had a Geocities website that I had created to share my stories as well as links & mood lifters & lots of hints for living with Fibromyalgia. I called that website Sanity's Edge.
Why "Near Sanity's Edge"? When you have fibromyalgia, you often feel like you are about to lose your sanity. Often your symptoms change rapidly & without warning. Also, you feel like you are going insane because you look healthy, but you feel horrible! You also sometime almost lose your sanity because it takes a lot to get diagnosed & often doctors will tell you "it's all in your head".
So, I thought it was time to start blogging again about my journey with fibromyalgia. It's been a bumpy road, but because of fibromyalgia, I truly believe I am a stronger, better person. So join me as I share with you my daily life & some stories of my past as well as share websites to encourage you & educate you.
